From July 2020 Regulations require landlords to have the electrical installations in their properties inspected and tested by a person who is qualified and competent. This should be carried out at least every 5 years. Landlords have to provide a copy of the electrical safety report to their tenants and to their local authority if requested. More information can be found by clicking here.
“Make sure you regularly have your equipment checked. Consider the likely consequences if you do not have the testing done and there was a fire, or one of your staff were to be killed or injured from electrocution.”
Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs) are issued with any new installation, alteration or addition that JCJ Electrics Limited carries out. If it is a domestic property, we also notify building control – included in our price.

In-service inspection and testing, to determine whether electrical equipment is fit for continued service or if maintenance, repair or replacement is necessary.
